Come to Me

On Day 1, I want you to first understand that Jesus wants to talk with you. He wants you to come to Him everyday. In the busy times of our lives, we sometimes can get too caught up in other things and Jesus is waiting for us to come to Him. By no means, is Jesus angry with us when we don’t pray first thing in the morning, or read our Bible for 30 minutes a day, but He also knows that when we don’t pray or read, that we leave room for the enemy to come in to deceive and distract. Once the enemy comes in, he can cause us to wear ourselves out and put such demands on our bodies and minds that we become weary and burdened. A burden in simple terms is to feel weighed down, oppressed, or taking on something that is too much to bear.

Jesus tells us that when we are weary with the troubles of life and we feel such heavy burdens, to come to Him. He understands that there will be times we feel so exhausted, and the reason He tells us to come to Him is because He is the One who will remove this burden. He is the One who gives us rest for our souls. Instead of a heavy burden, He said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. When we learn from Jesus and understand that He is gentle and humble in heart, we see that He is not the One who is demanding so much from us, or causing this heaviness within us. , but that He wants us to come to Him with all of our worries, cares and concerns so that He can take care of them.

I want you to know that in Christ we can have peace and rest. On Day 1, come to Jesus with everything, and take His yoke upon you. Commune and learn about Him and allow His love to envelope you. Jesus never wants you to go around feeling weighed down because He is the lifter of our heads. Don’t be afraid. Come to the Master.

Prayer for Today:

“Jesus, thank You for loving me and caring for me. By faith, I come to you knowing that You will help me, strengthen me, and give me spiritual insight and wisdom during this time. I declare that I have the wisdom of Christ living on the inside of me, and I will walk in supernatural peace and rest as I lean on My Master, Jesus Christ. In everything that I do today, I choose to turn to You for help and rest for my soul. In Jesus’ name, amen”
