7 Days With the Master: Developing Our Relationship With Jesus Christ

DAY 3 OF 7

He is For You, Not Against You

It’s important to note that when Apostle Paul was asking these questions, the answer he was looking for was “no one” and “yes”. If God is for you, who dare be against you? No one. Since God didn’t even spare Jesus, His own Son, but gave him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? Yes. When coming to Jesus, we have to know that He is not pointing a finger at us, or putting us down. When we realize that God is for us, committed to us no matter what, and stands by us through it all, we can have greater confidence in coming to Him.

How often would you go to someone who constantly puts you down when all you try to do is confide in them? You probably wouldn’t go to them at all after a while as this by no means edifies you, right? Well God obviously understands this, and because His very nature is love, He does not keep a record to bring up later on. He doesn’t condemn us when we make a mistake. He is our ultimate best friend who we can confide in and run to when we make a mistake. If there’s anyone you want to go to when you fall short, it would be Jesus.

This passage shows that Jesus paid the price for our sins and deliverance and if He went through such an extent as to die on the Cross and endure such pain for us, then surely God is willing to help us and give us anything we need. Surely, Jesus is for us because He was willing to die for us. No one would do something like that if they were not for you. This should help us to know that God is not withholding anything from us, but that He is willing to extend His hand in whatever capacity we need at any moment.

I want you to know that when you come to Jesus, you don’t have to be afraid that He is against you. In fact, He is for you. I want to encourage you to receive this truth in your heart today, and if you need to repent for anything and once you do, the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Prayer for Today:

“Jesus, thank You that You are for me and not against me. I come to You Lord with confidence knowing that whatever it is I am facing, that I am not alone in this. Thank You for always standing by me through everything I face. Father, I come before you to repent of anything that I have done that has offended you. I receive my forgiveness and cleansing, and I thank You for Your precious blood. Thank You Jesus for loving me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen”
