7 Days With the Master: Developing Our Relationship With Jesus ChristSample
He Hears You
Many people think that God is either too busy, occupied or just doesn’t care about His people. These are all lies. If there’s anything the enemy wants you to believe is that God doesn’t care about you and He is just sitting up there ruling with no care in the world. No. God cares about you. God loves you. God hears you. In this verse, we see that God not only hears our cries for help, but that He goes to work to deliver us out of ALL of our troubles. That is the definition of care and love.
The implication of “the righteous cry out” pertains to God’s people, you and me - those that have been washed by the blood and received Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. This is a promise from God to us that when we face troubles, we can come to Him and know that He not only hears us, but He will deliver us. We can count on the Lord to be there for us. He acknowledges our pain and struggles here on this earth as He also went through the same things. It’s not like Jesus can’t relate to pain, betrayal or hurt, but we must remember that although He experienced these things, He also overcame them all.
We also have this ability to overcome when we lean on the One who overcame it all. He is the reason we have deliverance in every situation. It’s important for us to know that we can come to Jesus, but to also not wallow in our pain. Jesus wants to lift us out of that and that is part of the deliverance He offers to us. He doesn’t want us to just stay where we are at, but He wants us totally and completely set free. How amazing is that? I want to encourage you to come to Jesus with the expectation of being heard and also being delivered from whatever you face.
Prayer for Today:
“Jesus, thank You for hearing me. By faith, I believe that You care for me and love me. I thank You in advance for the victory and going before me to deliver me. Thank You for total and complete freedom from this pain and hurt I am feeling today. I trust that You are my strength during this time, and You don’t plan on leaving me this way. I thank You that I am coming up and out of this with You by my side. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen”
