7 Days With the Master: Developing Our Relationship With Jesus ChristSample
He Has Great Plans For You
I find that if there is a Bible Verse that explains who our Master is, it would be this one. God is telling us that we can truly trust Him because He knows the plans He has for us. It’s not mysterious or something we have to struggle to understand. He’s letting us know that He has a plan for our lives. He continues by saying that these plans are for the good of your life. The enemy has a plan for your life and that is to destroy you. But God, has great plans for your life. He goes onto say that they are plans that would never bring you into harms way. They are plans to give you a future and a hope or some other translations say an expected end.
We can fully trust that when we place our lives into the hands of Jesus, that He won’t bring us into harms way, but that we have a future in Him. He will bring us into a place of blessing and will guide us along the way. It’s crucial for us to understand this and to always inquire of the Lord daily. We want to align ourselves with the plan of God, not the other way around. We want to seek what God has for us and experience the blessed and good life He has for us. I can understand that in the past we may have fallen victim to the decisions that maybe our parents made or someone using their free will to harm us, and I want to acknowledge that those are very real feelings. However, we can’t put our past experiences on our loving and caring Master who clearly tells us that He would never do that to us.
Jesus is never in the business of leading His people astray. He’s called the Good Shepherd for a reason right? There are other translations that say “plans to prosper you and not to harm you” and this is something to cling to. God wants us to be successful and bless the work of our hands. He wants us to be at peace in our lives and to experience His joy. He wants us to experience the joy that comes from being in His perfect will, and fulfilling the call on our lives. Those are His plans for us.
I want to encourage you that as you end these 7 days of spending time with Jesus, that you continue to seek Him just as much as you have been these past 7 days. Having a relationship with Jesus is life changing and the best decision you can ever make. You are in the palm of His hands, and He loves you child. You are precious in His sight, and when you spend time with the Master on a daily basis, you will never want to look back, but will continue to press forward into the things Almighty God has in store for you.
Prayer for Today:
“Jesus, I call You my Master. Thank You for all that You have done for me, and all that You have in store for me. I purpose in my heart to seek You past these 7 days, and to love and trust You with all of my heart. Lord, grant me the wisdom that is needed for my call along with Your strength and grace to fulfill the call on my life. I choose to believe that You are for me and not against me. I choose to believe that You created me with purpose and for a purpose. I declare that all the days of my life, I will be guided by My Master everyday. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen”
