Evangelize EverywhereSample

We’ve discussed the what behind evangelism, but let's discuss who and where to evangelize. Mark 16:15 says, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” This verse is a direct command from Jesus to His disciples, instructing them to spread the Good News to all corners of the earth. Matthew 28:19 says to make disciples of all nations. This verse is known as the Great Commission, where Jesus commissions His followers to go and make disciples of all people, regardless of their nationality or background. Therefore, we see Jesus teaching the disciples to preach and reach everyone with the Gospel.

So, who do you preach to? Everyone! Your family, your friends, coworkers, the cashier at the grocery store, the stranger in the mall, the waitress at your favorite restaurant, do you get the point now? We are called to reach everyone we can with the Good News of Jesus. Each one of us regardless of title or position, is vital to this mission.

To reach everyone, we must preach (proclaim) the Gospel everywhere we go. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells the disciples they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes and informs them they will be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and all the earth. Jerusalem represents your local community, family, school, job, or those closest to you. Judea and Samaria represent your city, region, and even places you might not visit often. All the earth is self explanatory but the point of the matter is we should evangelize wherever we go.

As carriers of the presence of God and those who understand the critical nature of this relationship, we should want to share the gift of Jesus with everyone we can. In today’s time, social media is a powerful evangelistic tool. You never know what sharing a verse or video will do for someone. Your online presence can make a significant impact. What scripture or revelation from your devotional time will you share on your feed or with someone today?

Prayer: Lord, help me take the command to evangelize everywhere seriously. I’m grateful for my relationship with you and desire to share that wherever I go and with my family, friends, classmates, coworkers, and strangers! I pray that I can help lead someone closer to you today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
