Rich Dad, Poor SonSample

DAY 1: RICH DAD
God is a Rich Father. Wealth means abundance. Although many of us have heard this truth, we don’t always believe it deep in our hearts. Think about it: God does not lie (Numbers 23:19), and since I am His child, I make my best effort not to lie either. God loved the world and gave His Son (John 3:16); as His child, I also do my best to love. Jesus did only what He saw His Father doing, for whatever the Father does, the Son also does (John 5:19).
Spiritual maturity shows when our actions align with the truths we believe. If you believe God does not lie, you live with integrity. If you believe God loves, you love too. Authentic faith always bears fruit. Otherwise, maybe we don’t believe as much as we think. Jesus said, “every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. ” (Matthew 7:17, NIV).
In the same way, if we believe our Father is rich, shouldn’t our lives reflect that abundance?
You might be thinking: “I have what I need, that’s enough.” But having what you need is not the same as living in abundance. Abundance means having more than enough, not for waste, but for purpose.
In Matthew 14:13-21, Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes and there was food left over! Was it a mistake? No. He was simply imitating the abundance of the Father. God does not waste, but neither does He withhold. Abundance is part of His nature.
Today, I invite you to deeply believe that your Father is rich. And as His child, you can live aligned with that truth, abundant in faith, resources, and purpose.
----
REFLECTION:
Understanding that God owns it all is the first step. If you are His child, live like it. Just as you do your best to love or to speak the truth, also strive to reflect the abundance of the Kingdom.
Don’t settle for “just enough.” Believe that your Father wants to bless you with purpose.
----
MEDITATION:
The Bible doesn’t explain how Jesus multiplied the loaves, only that He did. The miracle flowed from His identity. How that “how” will manifest in your life, that’s God’s job.
Take a few minutes to meditate:
- Are you bearing fruit that reflects the God who owns it all?
- Are you believing only with your mind… or also with your decisions?
