Rich Dad, Poor Son

DAY 7 OF 7

DAY 7: RICH FATHER, RICH SON

Thank you for making it this far.

Today is the final day of this journey, and I want to start by thanking you for your time and willingness. It’s been an honor to share these thoughts, struggles, convictions, and truths with you. This plan is not a finish line; it’s a launching pad for moving forward.

The title of today, “Rich Father, Rich Son,” is more than a catchy phrase; it’s a declaration of identity. Our Father is rich. Not just in resources, but in power, wisdom, love, justice, and provision. And as His children, we are called to reflect that spiritual and material richness with purpose.

In the Bible, there’s an extraordinary moment when God commands Solomon to build a temple for Him. Solomon didn’t do it with whatever he had on hand or with just enough. He did it with excellence. His mindset was that of a son who understood who he was serving. He gathered costly materials, designed with beauty, and built with greatness. Not to show off, but because he knew his Father was worthy of the best. Something similar happens in John 2. Jesus turned water into wine, and not just any wine, but the best. He didn’t do it for luxury or to boast. He did it because His Father’s Kingdom operates with excellence and abundance, even when others think there’s no need for more.

Throughout this devotional, we’ve talked about how riches are not evil, scarcity is not a symbol of spirituality, and God is not against abundance. He’s against idolatry. Jesus was not materially rich, but He didn’t live in lack either. He lived with purpose, which included provision, generosity, and access. The same should be true for us.

Some Christians have no problem believing in streets of gold and gates of pearl in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:21), but they struggle to accept that a child of God can prosper here on earth. Ironically, that rejection often doesn’t come from God but from trauma, religiosity, or guilt. You are a child of a rich Father. The least you can do is start thinking it, saying it, and acting accordingly. If the Kingdom already lives in you, let it also express itself through you.

----

REFLECTION:

True abundance begins with identity. When you know who your Father is, you know who you are. It’s not just about money or resources but about carrying a mindset aligned with the Kingdom of Heaven. Today, take a firm step: reaffirm your identity as a child of a rich Father.

----

MEDITATION:

Take a few minutes in silence. Meditate on these three key words: Materialization, Fruitfulness, and Fulfillment.

  • In what area of your life do you need to reflect your Father more?
  • Where do you need to start walking like a rich son?

About this Plan

Rich Dad, Poor Son

Why do so many children of a rich Father live as if they have no inheritance? This 7-day devotional will help you break free from mindsets of scarcity and religiosity and understand the true biblical perspective on wealth and provision. You’ll discover how to align your identity as a child of God with the reality of His Kingdom, leaving behind guilt and fear. God is not against wealth; He is against idols. It’s time to prosper with purpose and steward His blessings with responsibility.
