Day 2 – Come Close

"One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.’" – Matthew 19:13-14 (NLT)

Think About It:

Jesus is NEVER too busy for you. In fact, He WANTS you to come close! When the disciples tried to keep the kids away, Jesus told them to stop. You don’t need anyone’s permission to talk to Him. You can pray while walking, doing homework, or even riding your bike. He’s the best Friend who will always listen. When you talk to God, He is never annoyed that you are talking to Him. He wants nothing more than to hear you speak. He loves when you spend time with Him, and He will never push you away.

Let’s Pray:

Lord, thank You for loving me and wanting me close. Help me to trust You with everything and talk to You every day. Give me the ears to hear Your voice and know when You are speaking to me. In Jesus' name, amen.
