Day 1 – God’s Tree

"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers."

Think About It:

Have you ever seen a tree that was so big you couldn’t see the top of it? The trunk is so big that you can't get your arms around it. You look up and you see beautiful fruits or maybe flowers coming from the stems. That’s what God says “you” can be like if you stick close to Him and His Word. When you spend time in the Bible talking with Jesus, your spirit begins to grow. “Meditating” means thinking about something again and again, like when you learn a new game or skill and keep practicing until you’re really good at it. The more you read and think about the Bible, the stronger your “roots” get, and the more your life shows good fruit that makes God smile.

Let’s Pray:

Lord, thank You for giving me Your Word to help me grow strong like a tree. Help me to love reading it and thinking about it every day. Give me a verse that You want me to meditate on this week. In Jesus’ name, amen.
