Day 5 – The Shield
"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
Ephesians 6:16 (NIV)
Think About It:
Picture a soldier in battle holding up a strong shield to block enemy arrows. Your faith in Jesus works just like that protective shield! When Satan throws "flaming arrows" at you—like lies that you're not good enough, fears about the future, or temptations to do wrong—you can hold up your shield of faith by remembering God's promises. When you feel scared, trust that God is with you. When you're tempted to lie, remember God values truth. When someone says mean things, hold up your shield by believing God loves you. Faith protects your heart and helps you stand strong!
Let's Pray:
Lord, thank You that You have given me a shield of faith to protect me from attacks. Help me trust You when I feel afraid. Make my faith strong so I can stand against the enemy's attacks. In Jesus’ name, amen.
