Father’s Love: 30 Days of Discovering God as FatherSample

Day 5 – A Teacher
Father God is your Teacher. I love seeing fathers help their children with homework or teach them new skills, like riding a bike. I watch my husband paint with our daughter, showing her patience in creating a masterpiece. God is that Father—and more. He wrote your story before your parents ever met. Only He can guide you through every part of life, (Psalm 32:8) and He’s given you the ultimate manual and weapon: The Bible.
As a believer, His Holy Spirit lives in you daily and John 14:26 (ESV) says this about Him, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
Are you struggling to learn something? Are you struggling to understand the Bible as you read? Are you struggling to navigate a relationship? Are you having problems with a particular subject in school (like those math word problems that always made me cringe)? Ask Daddy and He will help you through His Spirit who lives in you. A loving father doesn’t just tell you what to do—he walks with you. God is a patient Teacher. God’s instruction is always for your growth, never for your harm.
Ask God for wisdom in one area of your life where you feel uncertain, then listen for His guidance.
Read, internalize, and pray each scripture to deepen your faith.
