When Trust Becomes TestimonySample

When the Future Is Unclear
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 , NIV)
Uncertainty gives birth to anxiety. We want to know what’s going on and what will happen. We like to understand. Certainty gives us safety. Or so we think.
But the roadmap for life isn’t fully marked out, and detours pop up when we don’t want them to. And when we’ve gone through seasons of suffering, we’re hesitant to place our future in the hands of God because we have been hurt.
The storms experienced have made us tentative and unsure. And if we aren’t sure, how can we trust that there is good up ahead?
God has proven to us that He is trustworthy, but there’s a difference between head knowledge and heart application. We have a limited view, but God doesn’t. He already sees your tomorrow, who you will become, and how things will sort out.
Trusting in His good plans means reliance on His good character. Even when the details of our days remain hidden, He has the roadmap already marked out. And He will see us through the curves, hills, and unknowns. Calm comes when we choose to rest in giving Him what is unclear, believing that He will bring us where we need to be.
The truth for today is: God sees the full picture. He knows where to lead us.
Prayer:
Lord, not knowing what is ahead is scary. Especially when I’ve been hurt in life before. Help me release the unknown future into Your capable hands. Amen.
Reflection Question:
What is an unknown in your future that you are being invited to trust Him with?
About this Plan

When life feels uncertain and the ground beneath us shifts, we need more than vague hope—we need a firm foundation in the unchanging character of the One who holds all things together. God invites us to anchor our lives in who He is: good, faithful, merciful, sovereign, loving, and more. This thirty-day plan shows us His character, teaches us to trust, and challenges us to live it out.
