When Trust Becomes Testimony

DAY 1 OF 30

Week 1: Who God Is

God is Good

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (Psalm 34:8, NIV)

God is good.

It is His character. He cannot be otherwise. We see sparks of His goodness through a sunrise, the laughter of a young child, the lingering conversation with a good friend. Goodness is the thread through God’s heart that flows out of all He is and all He does. His goodness comes in many forms, from provision to protection to wisdom and guidance.

Even when life doesn’t feel good, God’s goodness remains. Hard times can throw us into doubt and confusion, but His character is steady, and it steadies us.

God invites us to taste and see that He is good. To experience Him, and to lean on Him in all we go through. To notice Him in small places and moments, to look with a deeper lens and find where He shows up in your day. Through that first sip of coffee in the morning. In a card of encouragement that comes in the mail. And in the quiet assurance of His presence just before we slip off to sleep. It can also be believing in His character when we can’t see what He is doing.

Begin this journey by declaring this truth: God is good. Always. Let it be the anchor for the next thirty days and beyond. He will see us through.

Prayer:

God, You are good. Your goodness is always here, even when I cannot see. Your goodness does not waver when life gets hard. Help me hold on to You as I learn to trust You in deeper ways. Amen.

Reflection Question:
Where have you seen God’s goodness in your life recently, even in a small or unexpected way? Write it down as a reminder of His faithfulness.

About this Plan

When Trust Becomes Testimony

When life feels uncertain and the ground beneath us shifts, we need more than vague hope—we need a firm foundation in the unchanging character of the One who holds all things together. God invites us to anchor our lives in who He is: good, faithful, merciful, sovereign, loving, and more. This thirty-day plan shows us His character, teaches us to trust, and challenges us to live it out.
