When Trust Becomes Testimony

DAY 6 OF 30

God is Unchanging

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8, NIV)

Governments and kingdoms come and go. Fads attract our attention and quickly fade out of style. Culture changes its truth every two weeks, it seems. Whatever seems good right now is what we go with.

So much change. How can we keep track of what’s in and what to hold onto? Is there anything we can stand on?

There is. The Word of God and His character. Who He is. How He stays faithful to His Word, His promises, His sovereignty, might, and control.

God is unchanging. He’s been around before time began, and He will reign long after this earth ends. He is the same God who parted the Red Sea, protected His people, and made a way for us to be with Him forever through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus.

Jesus was the Word at the beginning of everything, and He walked the earth with the same authority that He always had. He will come again and rule with the same values and truth.

It’s comforting to know that when the thoughts of the world around us seem to change daily, we can rely on the unchanging nature of God, who goes before us, guides us, and provides all we need.

The truth for today is: God is unchanging. Look to Him. His truth is what lasts.

Prayer:

Lord, You are the unchanging One. You stay steady when everything around me shifts and shakes. I want a firm foundation in You. Amen.

Reflection Question:

What area of your life needs the reminder of God’s unchanging nature? Declare how He is unchanging out loud to yourself.

About this Plan

When Trust Becomes Testimony

When life feels uncertain and the ground beneath us shifts, we need more than vague hope—we need a firm foundation in the unchanging character of the One who holds all things together. God invites us to anchor our lives in who He is: good, faithful, merciful, sovereign, loving, and more. This thirty-day plan shows us His character, teaches us to trust, and challenges us to live it out.
