When Trust Becomes TestimonySample

God is Merciful
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. (Ephesians 2:4-5 , NIV)
Mercy is the undeserved kindness of God. He chooses to withhold the punishment we deserve and gives us compassion instead. We are not defined by our mistakes or failures but by His steadfast love and His Son.
Trusting in God’s mercy means daring to believe that He does not hold our sins against us when we come to Him. It means we trust He receives us as beloved and there is nothing we will do to change that identity. Mercy lets us breathe and wash in His grace. His mercy allows us to trust His heart when we worry we’ve done something wrong or don’t know what to do.
We can let go of trying to earn favor and acceptance and rest in the One who is able to carry us and cleanse us from all we deserve. God’s mercy always draws us back to His heart, to heal and be restored, knowing He is generous with mercy and love. As we learn to trust who God is, mercy is part of the process. It redeems us and transforms us, makes us see Him in a more beautiful light.
The truth for today is: God’s heart is full of mercy. And His mercy follows us all of our days.
Prayer:
Merciful God, thank You for meeting me with compassion. It is by grace that I am saved, not by anything I have done. Your mercy covers my failures and gives me new life; what a gift. Amen.
Reflection Question:
How might trusting God’s compassion free you from shame or striving?

About this Plan

When life feels uncertain and the ground beneath us shifts, we need more than vague hope—we need a firm foundation in the unchanging character of the One who holds all things together. God invites us to anchor our lives in who He is: good, faithful, merciful, sovereign, loving, and more. This thirty-day plan shows us His character, teaches us to trust, and challenges us to live it out.
