Trust That Fuels Courage

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV)

We can do more than we think. We have more strength than we know. And it’s given to us by God Almighty.

Nothing is too difficult for Him. He is over all nations, all kingdoms, and has all power and authority. This is the God who goes with us. Who loves us and calls us His.

Trust comes while we are building up the muscle of faith. It solidifies in the fact of God’s power and blessing, that we are part of His family and nothing can separate us from His love. As we lean in to that truth, we step out and test the waters of our strengthened faith. We have courage. It doesn’t eliminate the fear, but knowing God has our back allows us to act in faith and show the world in whom we place our trust.

He is with you wherever you go. He has said so in His Word, and His Word can be trusted. When you know God goes before you, you can step boldly into the day, into uncomfortable situations, and even into unknowns.

The truth for today is: Trust gives way to courage. And courage in God is what we can count on.

Prayer:

Father, we have come a long way. I know You are with me and that You will preserve my life. Give me courage rooted in trust that You are with me wherever I go. Amen.
