Pillars of Prosperity: Value

Observe people who are good at their work— skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don’t take a backseat to anyone. Proverbs 22:29 MSG

Money flows in the direction of value. People are not paid for their good looks (unless you’re a model), but for solving problems. Do you brush your teeth? Thank the person who invented toothpaste. You’re reading this on your phone? Somebody solved a technological problem so you could scroll and smile. Behind every legit wealth is someone solving something. So… what problem do you solve?

Proverbs 22:29 says, “Do you see a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings.” Value opens doors. Joseph solved Pharaoh’s nightmare problem and became Prime Minister overnight. Daniel interpreted dreams, gave wisdom, and landed top jobs in three different kingdoms, without bribing anybody! Their value made them unignorable.

You don’t need to invent something new. Just do something well. Maybe you bake the fluffiest cake, design graphics that pop, teach kids like they’re royalty, or know how to fix anything with a screwdriver. That’s value. And when you keep developing it, word spreads first quietly, then loudly. Value is like perfume; you don’t have to shout, “Smell me!” People will just notice.

So if you’re tired of being broke, it’s time to stop praying only for “miracle alerts” and start becoming a person of value. Ask yourself: “What can I do well? How can I serve better?” The more problems you solve, the more rewards will chase you down, like God promised in Deuteronomy 28:2. Stop hiding your gift. Polish it, present it, and prosper with it!

Prayer and Confession
Lord, show me what You’ve put in me that can solve problems. Help me stop comparing and start becoming. Teach me to serve others with skill and excellence. As I grow in value, let doors open, favour increase, and impact multiply. Amen
