Pillars of Prosperity: Giving (2)

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6 ESV

One of the most powerful principles in giving is the principle of Seed Faith. It’s simple but deep: when you give, you’re sowing a seed, and seeds don’t stay the same. They grow! Think of every gift, offering, or act of generosity as you putting a seed into spiritual soil. Now, if you plant a mango seed, you don’t expect one mango; you expect a tree full of mangos! It’s the same with giving.

Jesus Himself taught this: “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain.” (John 12:24). Meaning, when you release something in faith, trusting God as your Source, that seed begins a process of multiplication you can’t always see with your natural eyes.

That’s why giving isn’t a “donation”, it’s a spiritual transaction. Now, seed faith is not a substitute for hard work, wisdom, or planning. You can’t give a seed and then go and sit on your couch eating and sleeping all day, waiting for billions to rain down. It is also not buying a blessing. We don’t bribe God. You can’t “pay” for His love or miracles. Giving is an act of love, honour, and trust.

Seed faith giving is investing in heaven’s economy. And here’s the kicker: the harvest always comes back bigger than what was sown. Our anchor text in TPT says,“A stingy sower will reap a meager harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest.”Your harvest matches your seed, but always multiplied.

So when you give, mix it with faith. Speak over your seed: “Lord, I release this as a seed of faith. I trust You for a multiplied harvest; in finances, in open doors, in opportunities, in divine help!” Don’t just “drop” money into an offering bag, plant it with expectation, because faith activates the seed. Your seed speaks — and the harvest is on the way!

Prayer and Confession
My giving is seed faith! Every seed I sow produces a multiplied harvest. I sow in faith, and I reap in joy. I trust God’s process, seedtime, and harvest shall not fail in my life! I am not losing; I am planting. My harvest is coming!
