Pillars of Prosperity: Wisdom

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7 NKJV

Some of us don’t have a money problem; we have a wisdom problem. It’s not about what comes in, but what we do with it. If God gave you 10 million naira today, would you multiply it or would you be on your 5th party before the month ends? Proverbs 4:7 in NLT says,“Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.”In other words, before you chase money, chase wisdom.

King Solomon knew this. God asked him, “What do you want?” and this sharp guy said, “Give me wisdom to lead.” He could have said, “Lord, I want to be rich enough to confuse my enemies!” But he asked for wisdom, and boom! God gave him wisdom and wealth. Why? Because when wisdom shows up, prosperity follows it like a loyal puppy.

Look around today. The wealthiest people don’t just work hard; they work smart. They apply wisdom in business, timing, relationships, and investments. Wisdom is knowing when to talk, when to be silent, when to invest, and when to stop. Wisdom tells you to budget, save, plan, learn, and listen.

So how do you get wisdom? Simple: Ask God (James 1:5). He gives generously. Also, read His Word, study people who’ve gone ahead, and learn from mistakes—yours and others. Don’t repeat what you’re meant to grow from. Prosperity without wisdom is like buying an expensive car and driving it into a gutter because you don’t know how to use the brake.

Prayer and Confession
I am full of wisdom. I walk wisely, speak wisely, and act wisely. My prosperity is sustained because I apply God’s principles. I don’t waste, I build. I don’t guess, I discern. I am led by God and filled with divine sense, Amen!
