Falling in Love with His Presence

Discovering the beauty of God's presence is like stepping into a whole new dimension on our journey. It may seem similar to the excitement of our initial encounter, but there's something special about understanding the essence of who God is. Knowing someone is one thing but experiencing that love where you're valued for just being you is a whole different level. This understanding introduces us to various prayer experiences, from addressing our needs to simply appreciating and soaking in God's incredible presence.

When you connect with God's presence, that's when your faith takes flight. It's like immersing yourself in the very core of who God is while temporarily stepping away from your own identity. It's the place where you might find yourself singing God's words, praying those words, or just enjoying the quiet beauty of being in His presence. Often, we overlook the importance of just sitting with God in the atmosphere called God—that's a vital aspect of prayer.

Remember the part in Genesis where God and Adam hung out in the cool of the day? Despite everything that happened with Adam and Eve, they could still hear God's voice walking in the garden. Exploring God's presence is like unlocking another level beyond just knowing His name. It's a journey through the very heartbeat of who God is. That's where the true magic of transformation happens.

Loving the person of God involves making requests, but falling for God's presence goes way beyond that. Prayer changes us, but God remains constant. So, when talking about truly falling in love with prayer, it means being open to stepping out of the physical realm, the tangible things we can touch, and stepping into the space filled with God's voice and essence. That's where the real game-changer happens. As we change, so do our requests.

So, in your prayer, you might express, "Father, in the name of Jesus, help me fall head over heels for your presence. Show me how to just sit with you, no words needed. Guide me to follow your voice instead of my own. Ignite in me the curiosity to explore beyond what I can see and touch and dive deep into God's heart. Teach me all the cool ways I can connect with Him. I really want to fall in love with being in His presence. In Jesus' name, amen."
