Enjoy Jesus

DAY 3 OF 5

Falling in Love with His Process

Where do we find this process? It could be encapsulated in a powerful word: nevertheless. Think about Jesus in the garden, uttering the word nevertheless. Consider Mary when the Angel visited her—she had to navigate through a significant process, one that didn't conclude after nine months but extended through the challenges attached to raising a unique child, dealing with societal stigma, and witnessing the ultimate process of the cross. In her continual "nevertheless," she embraced an ongoing process, saying yes to Jesus, and so do we.

The Bible mentions that the Holy Spirit came upon Mary. Sometimes, we may find ourselves praying, yet the Holy Spirit might not manifest because we haven't fully yielded to the transformative process nested within prayer. Realize that the time, the waiting—it won't always be sudden; manifestation occurs in the process. It's in this ongoing journey that we maintain deliverance, sustain manifestations, and mature, ensuring we not only hit the target in prayer but in life as well.

The joy of prayer extends to looking back and appreciating the progress we've made. So, when you enjoy Jesus, the person of Jesus, the presence of Jesus, and now the process of Jesus, everything shifts in prayer. Prayer was never designed to be a chore; it stands as one of the highest laws for believers on Earth. Falling in love with prayer will lead you to appreciate every facet of your life's journey.

It will enable you to embrace where you are, acknowledge your beginnings, stand confidently in your current position, and eagerly anticipate where you're heading—all part of the process. Consider the journeys of Joseph and David—every significant figure in the Bible underwent a process, surrendered to God's presence, understood His person, and nurtured a vibrant prayer life.

So, in your prayer, you might express, "Father, in the name of Jesus, I confess that I haven't always liked the process. Prayer often felt like a challenging journey, and I couldn't fully engage or comprehend its components. Just like the disciples asked you, Jesus, to teach them how to pray, I'm seeking that understanding. I'm not looking for a magic formula; I want to genuinely enjoy you, Jesus, in every aspect of my life. From the moment I wake up to when I go to bed, through all the ups and downs, and in every crisis, help me see Christ. Open my eyes and heart to the process, to the journey that comes with being human. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."

Reflection:

Be intentional today by putting on a good attitude even when things do not feel good to you. The three names of GOD you have been pursuing–now execute your relationship to HIM by using your faith. Example, “I know Jehovah-Shalom, God of my peace is working this out for me so anxiety is not allowed to rule my day.”
