Have you ever seen the sky on a clear night? In many places around the world, the lights of city life or the fog in our environment can hinder our ability to see the heavens on display in all their glory. But on a rare, clear night with just the right conditions, you can step outside, lift your eyes, and see every spectacular detail of God’s Creation shining in the sky above you. Even if nature isn’t your thing, you’ve got to admit that the vastness of the night sky and the countless stars among it is a pretty impressive display. Standing beneath it in all its glory makes you realize just how big it is and just how small we all are. Now, consider that the vast sky you see above you on a clear night with seemingly no limit is a clear reflection of the level of God’s faithfulness to us. It stretches to the skies all the way into the heavens. That’s how much God loves us—as far as we can see and well beyond.
This week, find time to get outside one night and look up. Even if the night isn’t clear enough to see much, let the vastness of the sky above you sink in. Remember, that’s just how far God’s faithfulness in your life goes!

About this Plan

As humans, we all wonder what God is really like? Is God kind, loving, powerful, attentive, loyal? Is God distant, unfair, harsh, judgmental, or absent? In other words, we’re asking: what can we be sure is always true about who God is? In this devotional, we’ll look to Scripture to explore those questions and ground the answers in unshakeable, unchangeable truth, uncovering more about who God is and why we can trust Him not just now, but always.
