Trust the Process

DAY 3 OF 7

PROMISES REQUIRE PATIENCE AND WORK

Reflection:
Every vision God gives arrives first as a seed, not a finished product. Mary received a promise, yet she still had to carry it, protect it, and nurture it for nine months. The prophecy of Jesus came centuries earlier, but fulfillment required time, faith, and responsibility. Vision is rarely instant because God values formation as much as fulfillment. We often want harvest without planting, growth without discipline, and outcomes without effort. Scripture reminds us that sowing always precedes reaping. Patience is not passive waiting; it is active faith expressed through consistent obedience. Like a farmer who waters the soil without digging up the seed to check progress, vision grows when trust replaces anxiety. Spiritual maturity develops in seasons of repetition and faithfulness. John Maxwell notes, “Small disciplines repeated daily lead to great achievements over time.” Vision advances when we commit to the work even when results are unseen. God uses time to strengthen character, sharpen skill, and deepen dependence on Him. If the promise matters, the process matters too.

Application:
Consider one vision God has placed in your heart and assess how you have been nurturing it. Commit today to one consistent action that supports long-term growth rather than quick results. Resist quitting simply because progress feels slow. Replace impatience with faith-filled discipline. Ask God for grace to remain faithful in the process shaping you.

Prayer:
Lord, help me value the process as much as the promise You have given me. Teach me patience, diligence, and faith as I wait and work with You, Amen.
