What Does It Mean to Be Human?Sample

Restored for Kingdom Purpose
After restoring Peter, Jesus gives him a renewed call: Follow me. The same invitation that began Peter’s journey now becomes his future. Despite his past, Jesus entrusts him with shepherding His people and leading in His mission. Peter the denier becomes Peter the leader, preacher, and shepherd.
This is what God’s grace does. It not only forgives; it transforms. Paul captures it in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.” We are not just patched-up versions of our old selves – we are new, restored, re-purposed. Ephesians 2:10 echoes this: “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.”
Your true significance is not in titles, possessions, or status but in walking with Jesus. Every day you are invited to participate in His kingdom – to love others, serve faithfully, and live as His witness. Your worth comes not from what you’ve done but from who made you and who redeemed you.
Like Peter, your past does not disqualify you. In Christ, it becomes the very ground where God’s grace shines brightest. You are restored not only for yourself but for the sake of others – to feed, tend, and reflect God’s love in His world.
Reflection:
How is Jesus calling me to follow Him today? What does it look like to live out my restored purpose?
Prayer:
Redeeming God, thank you that you not only forgive but restore. Help me follow you with renewed purpose, living not for my own glory but for your kingdom. Amen.
