God speaks to the heart
Does God speak audibly? He can.
But often, God speaks to the heart. A still, quiet voice.
When the disciples walked on the road to Emmaus, discouraged and lacking faith, Jesus appeared to them, though they did not recognise Him at first.
As He spoke and opened the Scriptures, something happened inside them.
Their hearts burned. When you read through His word, allow it to change your heart.
This is what it feels like when God speaks. Our hearts respond as His Word comes alive.
Prayer:
God, thank You for speaking to me through the Scriptures.
Your Word is alive and active.
I create space in my heart and mind to hear from You afresh.
Amen.

About this Plan
We all know what it’s like to lock in. To focus fully on the task at hand. It might be a test at school, a sporting competition, or preparing to perform at your best. When something matters, we prepare for it. So why do we often prepare so well for everything else, but neglect our relationship with God? It is our prayer this year that above all else, we would lock in to what matters most. Our relationship with God. Let’s lock in together.
