LOCK IN

DAY 5 OF 7

How do I pray?

Sometimes when we begin praying, we don’t know what to pray. Our thoughts, emotions, and feelings can feel overwhelming.

The disciples felt this too. They watched Jesus pray and asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray.”

Jesus responded by teaching them the Lord’s Prayer.

Let’s become familiar with the prayer Jesus taught His disciples.

Prayer: The Lords Prayer

Matthew 6:9–13 (NIV)

This, then, is how you should pray.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

About this Plan

LOCK IN

We all know what it’s like to lock in. To focus fully on the task at hand. It might be a test at school, a sporting competition, or preparing to perform at your best. When something matters, we prepare for it. So why do we often prepare so well for everything else, but neglect our relationship with God? It is our prayer this year that above all else, we would lock in to what matters most. Our relationship with God. Let’s lock in together.
