LEARN FROM HERSample

LEARN FROM THE SHUNAMMITE WOMAN
The story of the Shunammite woman is a seriously inspiring example of faith, giving, and just knowing God is going to show up. This wealthy woman, who was clearly a devout person, didn't hesitate to show hospitality. She noticed the prophet Elisha passing by and decided to build him a simple, private room. That small act of pure generosity resulted in the huge blessing of her having a son!
But the real test came when her boy suddenly died. Instead of fear and anger, she acted immediately, driven by faith. She gently placed her son on Elisha's bed, the one she built, and took off to find the prophet, telling her husband, "It is well" (Shalom). She was relentless, too—she grabbed Elisha's feet and basically wouldn't let go until he came back with her. Her confident, expectant faith demanded a miracle, and the child was brought back to life.
Her story shows us a couple of powerful things. First, when you're generous, you make room for God to work (that sanctuary room was proof). Second, real faith allows you to say "It's well" even when you're staring death in the face. Our hope isn't about our messy situations; it’s totally anchored in God's power. Let's aim to live with that same quiet dedication and bold, expectant faith!
