LEARN FROM HER

DAY 28 OF 30

LEARN FROM THE WIDOW OF ZAREPHATH

The story of the Widow of Zarephath is a powerful lesson in trusting God when things are totally scarce. She was literally making what she thought would be her last little meal for her and her son—it was over.

Then, Prophet Elijah shows up with an incredibly bold request: "Hey, make me a small cake first."

She only had a handful of flour and a tiny bit of oil, but she decided to just obey, ignoring the terrible situation she was in. Why? Because she chose to believe Elijah's promise: "The jar of flour won't run out... until God sends rain."

The miracle only kicked in after she took that first leap of faith. Her willingness to give her "last bit," even when she was completely depleted, was the key that unlocked God's non-stop supply. The Widow of Zarephath shows us that when we trust God with our final reserves, He turns them into "more than enough."

When you're feeling totally drained (of time, money, energy, whatever), what small, obedient step is God nudging you to take? Don't look at your circumstances; look at His promises.
