DAY 2 - The Woman Caught In Adultery
This is one of the most human and Holy moments in scripture. A woman exposed, humiliated, caught in her worst moment and surrounded by those ready to punish her.
The crowd came prepared, stones in their hands and accusation on their lips. They were ready to execute judgment. Instead of picking up a stone Jesus knelt down and began to write in the dust.
The only one qualified to condemn chose to show mercy Instead of judgement. Then He stood and dismantled every argument with one sentence: “Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone.”
The law of Moses required at least two or three eye witnesses for an accused person to be found guilty. One by one, the stones dropped, as the accusers fled in every direction.
Jesus does not excuse sin but His Mercy triumphed over Judgement that day.
REFLECTION
Are you holding on to a stone today? Who is it aimed at?
PRAYER
Lord, search my heart. If I’m holding any judgment, towards others, help me to see them as you do. Teach me to extend mercy the way You do. Amen.

About this Plan

This four-day Easter devotional follows the theme of stones throughout Scripture, from the stone rolled away at the tomb, to the stones dropped at Jesus’ feet, to the stones that struck Stephen, and the stones that would cry out in praise. Each day is a simple, powerful reminder: judgment does not get the final word, Jesus does. If you’re ready to let go of accusation, embrace resurrection freedom, and live like the stone has truly been rolled away, this journey is for you.
