Turn Around

When we're touring on the road, we sometimes have to navigate our way through the downtown of big cities to get to the venue. However, in our case, it means we're trying to get where we need to go with a 40 foot long tour bus and an additional 12 foot trailer. Our bus driver has to carefully make his way through the city via highways, overpasses, under bridges, through tunnels and sometimes narrow one-way streets. And getting lost in a big city, down a one-way street in a tour bus is a TOUGH spot to be in! It's nearly impossible to turn around. The streets aren't wide enough, the alley-ways are too small, too many parked cars on the side of the street and parking lots, etc. It feels like we're trapped and like we'll never get out!

Sometimes life feels that way. Things happen in life that simply take us off course, down the wrong path and into areas we're just not prepared to be. And the situation seems so big, so difficult and seemingly impossible to overcome. We ask ourselves, 'How did we get here?' and more importantly, 'How can we get back?!'.

Thankfully, we have our answer through our example in Christ. He tells us that if we believe and trust in Him, we can begin anew. A fresh beginning. The old way is no more. We are given new coordinates for our journey. We can find hope and redemption through Christ's sacrifice, knowing He can turn our situation around for the best.

As the lyrics in the chorus remind us, 'You're never too far from a brand new start.'
