Have you ever been in a completely dark room? A room so dark, that you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face? In this room, there is no sense of direction or safety or whether or not you are even by yourself. It is such an isolating place to be. Thankfully, it only takes a small candle or lamp to light an entire room that is engulfed in complete darkness. It's amazing the power light holds over the dark.

In a world of darkness, we are called to be that light. However, that can sometimes be difficult. There are struggles and challenges that make it difficult keeping the light on. Discouragement, persecution, and bitterness to name a few. The good news is that when God asks us to invade the darkness with His light, He will equip us to do so.

Acts 1:8 says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' And in Matthew 28, the Bible commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. God makes it so clear that once we believe in Him, we are to share with others and to live boldly for Him. With the darkness all around, we will shine our light bright. Though the world will try to tear us apart, we are set apart and will invade the world for Christ.
