Day 13: God Is Faithful in the Fight
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:13b (NIV)
"And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
God is faithful. That's the anchor of this whole verse. Not "you're strong enough." Not "you just need more willpower." God is faithful.
That means He doesn't abandon you in the middle of the fight. He doesn't watch you struggle from a distance and wait to see if you make it. He's in it with you. And He provides a way out.
That way out looks different for different people. Sometimes it's a person who checks in at the right moment. Sometimes it's a decision to remove a trigger from your environment. Sometimes it's a conversation with a counselor. Sometimes it's a moment of prayer that gives you just enough strength to make a different choice today.
The way out isn't always dramatic. It's usually small. A door that opens just wide enough for you to take one step through. And then another. And then another.
God doesn't promise you'll never be tempted. He promises He'll provide a way through it. And He promises He won't let the temptation be more than you can handle with His help. Not your own strength. His.
That's not a guarantee that recovery is easy. It's a guarantee that you're not fighting alone. And that changes the odds.
Reflect: What does "a way out" look like for your specific struggle? What's one door God might already be opening that you haven't walked through yet?
Today: Ask God to show you the way out He's providing. Then look for it. It might already be there.
