Day 14: Share It
Scripture: Nehemiah 8:10b (NIV)
"…send some to those who have nothing prepared."
Right in the middle of the instruction to celebrate, Nehemiah says share with people who have nothing. Generosity is built into the joy.
That's not an accident. Real joy doesn't stay contained. When you're genuinely experiencing God's goodness, the natural response is to want other people to experience it too. You share the food. You bring people in. You don't just celebrate alone.
And there's something about generosity that actually deepens joy. When you give something away, when you use your good moment to bless someone else's hard one, it connects you to something bigger than your own experience. It reminds you that you're part of a community, not just an individual trying to manage your own life.
There's probably someone in your world right now who's in a hard season. Who doesn't have much to celebrate. Who's running on empty. And your joy, your strength, your presence could be exactly what they need.
You don't have to have everything figured out to encourage someone else. You don't have to be at full strength to share what you have. Nehemiah didn't tell the people to wait until they had extra. He told them to send some now, as part of the celebration itself.
Your joy is meant to overflow. Let it.
Reflect: Who in your life is in a hard season right now? What's one way you could share something with them this week?
Today: Reach out to that person. Send a message. Show up. Share something. Let your joy become someone else's strength.
