Day 20: The Abundant Life

Scripture: John 10:10 (NIV)
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Jesus came to give you life to the full. Not a restricted, joyless, fun-free existence. Full life. Abundant life. Life that overflows.

The thief, Jesus says, comes to steal and kill and destroy. And one of the things the enemy steals is joy. He does it by convincing you that following Jesus means missing out. That the fun is on the other side of faith. That God is holding something back from you.

But Jesus says the opposite. He's the one who gives life to the full. The world's version of fun is actually the thief. It promises everything and delivers emptiness. It looks like abundance and produces scarcity.

Real, lasting, God-honoring fun is part of the full life Jesus is describing. The celebration that connects you to people. The joy that doesn't require you to compromise who you are. The laughter that doesn't come with regret the next morning. The fun that leaves you feeling more alive, not less.

That's what God wants for you. Not a smaller life. A fuller one.

This series has been about something simple: God is not against your joy. He invented it. He celebrates with you. He wants you to experience fun that actually satisfies, joy that actually holds, and a life that's genuinely full.

That's not a compromise. That's the point.

Reflect: What would your life look like if you fully believed that following Jesus leads to more joy, not less? What would change?

Today: Write down one way you want to pursue God-honoring fun differently after this series. Make it specific. Make it something you'll actually do. Then go live the full life Jesus came to give you.
