Why Sacrifice? Embracing God’s Promises For Joy And FruitfulnessSample

Eternity
Jesus promises a dwelling place in Heaven with Him for all who believe and declare Him Savior. His death and resurrection assure us that we have the promise of eternal life. Our confidence and hope is in Him, not in our possessions, accomplishments, or aspirations.
With our citizenship secure in eternity, we remember that our earthly home is temporary. No matter what may be destroyed on Earth, we have an eternal home awaiting us in Heaven.
As we follow Jesus, there are times when we will be asked to give things up for God’s Kingdom or be called to take risks. We might even face persecution. But the Word tells us to fix our eyes on the unseen—on the things that are eternal. Our hope is not in this world, but in an eternity spent with Christ in Heaven.
- How might having hope in eternity and assurance in salvation change the way you live your life today?
- Ask God to help you fix your eyes on eternity and live for His Kingdom today.
