Why Sacrifice? Embracing God’s Promises For Joy And FruitfulnessSample
Sacrifice for God’s Kingdom
As we see in Scripture, faith in God requires obedience and sacrifice. When we respond generously and joyfully to what the Lord is calling us to, it shows that our trust is in God and that our hope is in His steadfast promises.
Sacrifice is awfully difficult. It forces us to confront our fears that God won’t protect and provide for us. But as we learn to place all our trust in God’s provision, it yields great rewards. This is part of stepping into the wonderful plan He has for us to further His Kingdom. As a result of trusting in Him, our faith grows, we bear fruit, and we’re better able to model for others what it looks like to live for Christ—so that those who are lost might also come into His glorious Kingdom.
The plans of God are perfect in every way. Choose His ways over your own and He’ll equip you to do more for His Kingdom than you could ever imagine!
- Meditate on God’s commands to live sacrificially. Reflect on His promises to bless you through your surrender and sacrifice to Him.
- What do you need to surrender to God today? In which areas of your life do you need to grow sacrificially?
- Write down several ways in which you will prayerfully give yourself for His Kingdom purposes.
