“Embracing Brokenness”
I had to embrace my brokenness. I praise God that I can come before His throne of grace with confidence through Jesus, even with just a shattered heart. There’s beauty in the broken, because being broken means that there will be a lot of room for God to do what He does best.
He is the Creator. He made the Universe out of nothing. And with that truth, I believe that He’ll definitely make something beautiful out of the broken pieces of my heart. More than putting patches to cover it up, God will make my heart whole again, He’ll make it good as new as if it never experienced agony. It’ll be braver, stronger, and more beautiful than ever.
A month later, my heart looks better. God became more real to me as I endured and struggled with this roller coaster ride of thoughts and emotions. He taught me a lot of things along the way.
He showed me that His grace can never be contained and that it’s bigger and greater than my pain. God never abandoned me. He never left my side. He helped me look away from all the hurt and look to Him, to the One who matters most. He kindly encouraged me to empty my hands, my heart and my head of the things that shouldn’t have been held on to in the first place – fear, anger, bitterness, resentment, and self-pity. “You can let go now,” His still small voice consumed me.
