“It’s Not Too Late to Say Sorry”
Maybe you’re tearing up inside, not because you were hurt, but because you know that you have caused someone else’s pain. Maybe you are feeling guilty and condemned about the choices and the decisions you’ve made that led to the death of a relationship. People could blame you. People could be angry at you. People could be disappointed and could look down on you. But God won’t. I want to discourage and encourage you right now.
I want to discourage you from looking down at yourself and from dwelling on your mistakes. Do not condemn yourself. Your choices can break you but they don’t make you who you are (unless you let them). You are more than your mistakes. You are more than your failures. God’s grace is always available.
I want to discourage you from abusing it, though. God’s grace may always be accessible but it should not be an excuse for you to make decisions instantly, without careful thought and examination of the Word, intense prayer and godly counsel. So, rise. Look up and look forward. You may have to suffer the consequences of your actions but thank the LORD for the many chances He continually provides, just for you to experience His grace and make you feel His love daily.
I encourage you right now to humble yourself before the LORD, and confess. At His feet, you will receive His forgiveness. Go to the person you have offended and sincerely ask for forgiveness. For once, let go of all the justifications you may have in causing the heartache. It will also take a lot of humility and strength to ask for forgiveness to the people we have wronged.
But what could be too hard for God? Nothing! He will help you!
If you fear that a restored relationship will be impossible, leave that to Him. He is the God who heals. He is the God who restores. Do your part. Leave the rest to Him and please, do forgive yourself. “You can let go now…”

Raizel Leuterio, a writer of Right Now, was enjoying her life doing God’s work by helping kids as a speech therapist, and discipling college students, until a tragedy happened… a tragedy that she thought only happens in the movies. She got her heart broken in the most unimaginable way. She never thought she could recover but she did, all by the grace, mercy and love of His Father.
