TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO
It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men. Frederick Douglass
PRAY: Father in heaven, may You help me to be the parent I need to be to allow my children to go in the way they should go and not turn from it. My children are a gift from you and I don't want to mess that up because I'm not asking You to guide me, help me and give me wisdom and self-discipline in the process of raising them. I will depend on You as I parent them, with the sole goal of having them stay on the right path their whole lives, and not turn from it. Thank You and Amen.
REFLECT: Every parent makes mistakes while raising their children and yet every healthy parent wants their children to do well in life. Raising children is complicated and difficult, but as parents, we have to start children off very early. If we want our children to stay on the straight and narrow their whole lives, even when they are old, and not turn from making good choices, or more importantly, from following Jesus, then WE must humble ourselves and completely depend on Jesus every day, with every decision and conversation - from the moment are children are born to when they are adults. How do we completely put our children and how we raise them, in God's hands? Regardless of their age, we can start today!
ACT: If you are not yet a parent, would you memorize this verse so that you are prepared to follow it from the moment you discover you are to become a parent. If you are raising children right now, would you memorize this verse and commit daily to ask God for wisdom in raising them. If your children are grown, would you memorize this verse and pray for them to be the kind of parents who will seek Jesus and start early to start their children off on the way they should go so that they will not turn from it. It's never too late to start new today.

读经计划介绍
There is something divinely miraculous about children. And as adults, we have a responsibility to love them, protect them, and train them in the ways they should go – whether they are physically ours or not. This week as we focus on God’s children, let’s keep singing, “Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world.”
