Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesنموونە

When addiction traps you in your past, God provides a new beginning.
Addiction chains you to your past because that’s what it feeds off of. Your guilt, your regret, your shame — every moment you wish could undo or do over again is a weapon in addiction’s arsenal. Every time you strive for sobriety, addiction will point that weapon at your heart and fire until you feel like you have no other option but to relapse.
But what happens if you stop letting your past define you? What if, instead of running from those painful moments, you handed them to God? What if you believed that your past — no matter how messy — doesn’t disqualify you, but actually becomes part of your testimony and sets the stage for your new beginning? When you stop living under the weight of who you were, you start becoming who you were created to be. You give God room to do what He promised.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for giving Your life so that I would be able to have a new beginning. When I feel stuck in my past, remind me that You’ve already made a way forward. Help me walk in the freedom and hope You died to give me. Amen.
