Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesنموونە

When addiction narrows your vision, God expands it.
When you look in a mirror, what do you see? Most of the time, you just see yourself, your features. In the grip of addiction, life can become like living in that mirror. Everything is a reflection of you — your needs, your desires, your pain — and nothing else.
When you catch your reflection passing by a window, what do you think? A window is different from a mirror. Yes, it can capture your reflection for a moment, but it also allows you to see so much more. You can see a bigger world, one where there are other people, other stories, and other needs. That’s what God does in recovery: He turns your mirror into a window. He helps you notice the person sitting across from you. Addiction shrinks your world to the size of your own reflection. God expands it to the size of His Kingdom.
Prayer
God, take away the mirrors that keep me focused on myself. Give me windows so that I can instead see everything in Your glory. Amen.
