Worship in the Presence of the King
The journey of the Magi began with a question written in the sky and ended with joy rising in their hearts. They followed a light they did not fully understand, drawing them step by step toward the presence of the true King. When the star settled, their joy overflowed, and their worship began long before they opened their treasures.
Inside that simple home, they found not a spectacle of royalty but a child held in His mother’s arms. Yet something in Him stirred their awe. The One who formed the heavens now sat beneath their light. The Lord of all creation received the gifts of travelers who recognized a glory deeper than what eyes could see.
Gold for His kingship. Frankincense for His deity. Myrrh for His sacrifice. Each gift whispered a truth about who He was and who He would become. Their offering was not about the value they carried but the honor they longed to give. Worship became the natural response to the revelation of Jesus.
The Magi remind us that everyone who truly encounters Christ is drawn to adore Him. The path may be long, the light may seem faint at times, but it always leads to the same place: kneeling before the One who is worthy. And even now, the King welcomes our worship, not for what we can bring, but for the devotion our hearts offer in His presence.
