Bits And Pieces

DAY 3 OF 10

Can you imagine if someone made a game that was impossible to complete? I don’t know about you, but that would drive me completely BONKERS! I saw a joke like this on the internet the other day. There was a video going around of this homemade game that was very similar to a popular one starring a super famous Italian plumber. In this video, the game was seemingly impossible to beat. In one hilarious scene, the guy playing it got to the end of the level, only for this animal to come out of nowhere and steal the flagpole you had to jump on to finish the level. It was literally impossible to beat!

If I start a game, I have every intention of completing it. We all do. The creators know that, so they make the game possible to beat. They provide everything you need in order to finish the experience to completion. Some of the different aspects needed to complete the game may be difficult to achieve, but they ARE made totally possible.

Life is the same way. Our AMAZING God is making this universe to COMPLETION! He has given us EVERYTHING we need to live this life to the fullest, and to be prepared for Eternal life as well. Sometimes we may not get everything we want, but He has promised to provide everything we NEED. That is a promise as rock solid as any other.

We can’t just sit on our butts and expect God to simply hand us everything we need though. We have our part! As Matthew 7:7 says, “"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” As you can see, we must take ACTION!

We don’t play a video game with the intent of just sitting back and watching someone else do everything for us, right? So, should we be doing that in our actual lives? The answer is a resounding NO! Let’s get out there and do our part, and watch our Heavenly Father provide us with our EVERY need, for this life and the next.

About this Plan

Bits And Pieces

It is my hope that you put down the controller and pick up your Bible. It is vital for us to broaden our horizons in life. This is especially true for gamers, who have a high tendency to be more isolated than most people. This devotional should help you be more aware of the spiritual lessons contained in a lot of the games we play. Praise be to God!
