River Valley Church SOAP - Part 11Sample

Following Paul’s powerful preaching and beginning work in Ephesus, we read of a group of disciples, about twelve in number. Paul asks if the disciples had received the power of the Holy Spirit after they believed, which brings to our attention that it is possible to believe in Christ without experiencing the baptism in the Holy Spirit. To do so, though, deprives the believer of the gifts and power God intends to give us. The baptism in the Holy spirit is a gift of God that, if received, will give great depth to our personal worship and public witness. Paul’s remaining ministry at Ephesus is marked with extraordinary stories of healing and freedom.
