River Valley Church SOAP - Part 11Sample
Paul and Silas continue to travel, spreading the news of Jesus to all and are met with both openness and anger. We are reminded of the importance of reading Scripture for ourselves. In Berea, Luke writes that the people examined the Scriptures daily, serving as a model for all us today. We must be careful to not accept one’s interpretation of Scripture but examine the passages for ourselves. A key theme of Acts is expounded upon while Paul is in Athens. His spirit is deeply grieved over the people that were in need of salvation. This same attitude towards sin and its destructive work was shown by Jesus and should be shown by believers today, as we carry out the Great Commandment that Paul and others do in Acts.
This week we are praying for Mongolia. Let's pray for the president of Mongolia today. His name is Khaltmaagiin Battulga. Let's pray that he would lead with integrity and would respond to the hand of God.
