Day 11 – A Patient Father

Our Father is patient, hallelujah! His patience with His children is immeasurable. Can you imagine if He wasn’t patient? There will be no one left alive! God knows your past, present and future. He knows where you will fall and fail. He knows where you will turn your back on him to sin, and yet His patience endures forever. I love how 2 Peter 3:9 puts it that God is not slow to fulfill His promises, but He is patient so that no one perishes, and all should repent.

God’s patience outlasts all your mistakes. He is not quick-tempered but full of grace and mercy. Daddy’s patience gives you and I room to grow without fear of rejection or condemnation. I see why patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) because you are His child, He wants you to be just like Him but have patience with not just others but with yourself as well. Do not allow the enemy to bring condemnation, guilt and shame in you because you made a mistake. Your Father knew the mistakes you were going to make, and He’s patient towards you so run to Him, not away from Him.
