Father’s Love: 30 Days of Discovering God as FatherSample

Day 30 – An Everlasting Father
Unlike earthly fathers, God will never leave or die. His fatherhood is eternal. Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV) says, “...And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Celebrate today by worshipping God for being your eternal Father who never changes.
I want to use this last day to say that if your earthly father is still alive and you have a great relationship with him, let him know just how much you love and appreciate him. You can repeat this devotional with him.
If like me, your earthly father is still alive and you have a broken relationship with him, sincerely pray to God to help restore, bring healing and unity on all sides. As a Christian Mental Health Counselor, I understand very well how many traumas begin with family. Depending on the dynamics of your broken relationship with your father, don’t rush into restoration or reconciliation unless all parties are willing to have a healthy conversation and agree on a healthy, loving, godly relationship moving forward. Relationship is reciprocal and if one person is willing and the other isn’t, more brokenness can occur.
Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you avoid unforgiveness, bitterness, offense or grudges from tainting your heart.
I hope you truly enjoyed this devotional as much as I enjoyed writing it. Write to me and let me know how this devotional blessed you and I am always here to answer questions. I love you and Daddy loves you too.
Read, internalize, and pray each scripture to deepen your faith.

About this Plan

So many know God only through the lenses of their upbringing and unfortunately, some people only know Him by whatever false religion and human doctrines have boxed him in to be. Few people truly know and experience Him as Father and Daddy. This 30-day devotional invites you into the heart and many wonderful characteristics of God that will lead you deeper into His embrace, helping you see Him in a new light and truly come to Him at all times with boldness and confidence.
