Father’s Love: 30 Days of Discovering God as FatherSample

Day 24 – A Source of Hope
Romans 15:13 (NIV), “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Your Father in heaven is the God of hope and your source of hope. Situations in this world can cause you to easily lose hope, but no matter the circumstances you’re facing, never forget where your hope comes from. May the Spirit of God in you, the sweet Holy Spirit cause you to overflow with hope no matter what life throws at you.
Proverbs 13:12 (AMP) says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.” Deferred means something that’s been prolonged. We don’t like waiting. We live in a world where we want what we want when we want it but in God’s system, waiting is part of every process. Sometimes waiting for longer periods of time can cause despair and hopelessness but I love the ending of that scripture, “but when desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.”
On day 20, we discussed God being a promise keeper. If you are trusting him for a breakthrough in any area of your life, don’t lose hope. He doesn’t lie. He will answer you. Keep praying, keep expecting and praise Him for the answer that is coming.
Read, internalize, and pray each scripture to deepen your faith.
