Day 2 – A Provider

God is your provider, and there is no need, too great or small, that He doesn’t care about. I want you to pause and reflect on all the needs in your life currently and say aloud, “God is my provider!” A loving, responsible father provides for his children. God not only knows your needs but made provisions for them even before you were born! You may be facing eviction right now or have 24 hours to pay your light bill before it gets cut off. I want you to stare at that eviction notice or bills and say, God is my provider! Faith in God produces miracles and shames the devil.

My 5-year-old loves gifts. With every doorbell, she thinks there’s a package for her. Of course, we can’t say yes to everything—toddlers have some wild ideas, like the time she asked for a big alligator as a pet to live under her bed. (I wonder what wild ideas or needs you have that God our Daddy has to say no to in order to protect you?) Nevertheless, when my daughter wants something, she boldly asks, fully believing our “yes” will come to pass. She sees us as her providers—even now referring to her dad as a superhero. But as much as he gives, his ability is still limited.

God, our Father is faithful and limitless. He is the true superhero who needs no mask or cape and has no weaknesses. There is not a single need in your life today that is too great for God to fulfill. Lean into Him, read stories about the many ways He’s provided for His children in the Bible to boost your faith.
