Peace in the StormSample

The Lord Fights for You
The Israelites had just escaped Egypt, but now they’re trapped — the Red Sea in front of them and Pharaoh’s army behind them. Fear breaks out in the camp, and the people are ready to give up. But Moses declares this word: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
This verse reminds us that sometimes God’s strategy is not for you to swing harder, run faster, or stress longer. His strategy is for you to stand still and watch Him move. Stillness doesn’t mean doing nothing — it means refusing to panic. It’s a posture of trust. It’s saying, “God, I can’t handle this, but I know You can.”
We fight battles that were never ours to begin with. God tells us, “I’ve got this one.” Your job is faith; His job is victory.
Sometimes the scariest thing is learning to be still while God works. I’ve faced battles I wanted to fix myself. I thought if I strategized enough or argued the right way, I could win. But God reminded me that some victories aren’t won by effort—they’re won by surrender. When I stepped back, He stepped in.
Don't let fear trick you into running back to bondage -- stand still and trust God. Identify one battle you’ve been fighting in your own strength. Today, hand it over. Pray: “Lord, fight for me while I stand still in faith.” Remember, the God who delivered you yesterday won't abandon you today. Stillness is not weakness; its strength anchored in faith.
